I am a spayed female & I look like a American Staffordshire Terrier mix
The shelter staff think I am 2 years old.
Hi there, I'm Hazel! I'm a sweet and loving 53-pound cutie pie, and I can't wait to settle into my forever home. I was found living in the woods, petrified of everything around me. After weeks of building trust with the Animal Control officers, I was finally able to come to the shelter, where it was clear that I needed some patient and loving guidance to learn that the world doesn't have to be so scary. With the help of some amazing foster parents, I have gained confidence and blossomed into an affectionate and all-around sweet pup! I still spook easily at loud noises and other unexpected things, but I am doing my very best to be the perfect dog I know I can be; my foster parents and I have been working with a trainer and are taking big steps forward. I'm potty trained, crate trained, walk well on leash, and do well with dogs, cats, and kids. If you're looking for a canine companion and have some treats, a couch, and extra patience and care to share, we might make the perfect match. Adopt me?
