Kidnapping Suspect Arrested by TPD

This morning at approximately 7:49 a.m., the Tallahassee Police Department responded to a call regarding a stolen vehicle from 112 West Tennessee Street (Greyhound Bus Station) with a person still inside the vehicle. Quick action by TPD officers led to the safe recovery of the person in the vehicle and the arrest of the suspect near the intersection of Magnolia Drive and Appalachee Parkway. TPD officers located the vehicle as it was traveling away from the area and were able to bring the vehicle to a safe stop.
After reviewing the evidence, officers charged Terrell Henry with Grand Theft Motor Vehicle and Kidnapping. Mr. Henry was transported to the Leon County Detention Facility for processing. TPD would like to thank everyone who assisted with this case and the safe recovery of the victim inside the vehicle to include the Consolidated Dispatch Agency for their coordination of law enforcement response and the Leon County Sheriff's Office for their assistance.

- Grand Theft Motor Vehicle pursuant to Florida Statute 810.014(2)(b).
- Kidnapping pursuant to Florida Statute 787.01(1)(a)2.
