Moovit App
StarMetro customers can now Plan – Purchase – Track – Swipe to ride all in one App. Don’t just plan your bus trip, plan your whole trip with interactive multi-modal options including ride-share and cycling.
To Plan: Download Moovit app on cell phone, allow location to be identified. Moovit should direct you immediately to Tallahassee/StarMetro service. Get started by tapping on "where do you want to go", enter destination, tap "search routes", select route, get arrival time, tap " "go" for live step-by-step guidance. Bus will appear in "live time" as it gets closer to the stop.
To purchase: Download Moovit app on cell phone, allow location to be identified. Moovit should direct you immediately to Tallahassee/StarMetro service. Select "buy a new pass", select rider type, select the fare you want to purchase, create account using your mobile number, followed by your credit card number, after sign up, tap "Purchase" to confirm and enter your CVV to complete the transaction. Your pass is now available on your phone. Scan pass on Fare Box.
REDUCED FARE: All reduced fare purchases must be made through a pre-approved "reduced fare" account set up by StarMetro. To submit your request and documentation for reduced fare, please email starmetro.customerservice@talgov.com or visit the Information Booth at C.K. Steele or Appleyard Office. Once account is set up, proceed to download Moovit app and purchase options.
To Track: Open app, tap nearby stations, tap a station or stop on the map or select from the list, tap the map icon for directions to stop, drag up and tap a service for trip information.
