After creating or updating your utility account, you and your family would begin receiving clean, reliable natural gas. Please see our FAQ page for information about deposits and fees.
Residential Service Request
The first step toward becoming a residential natural gas customer with the City of Tallahassee is to verify that you have access to natural gas in your neighborhood. To do this, simply check out our natural gas availability map.
From there, you would fill out the Inquiry Form below. This form will be sent to a Natural Gas Utility representative who will contact you within 48 business hours of receiving your completed form.
Moving forward, the City would work with you and your professional plumber of choice to run the service tap from the street to your home and install your natural gas meter, if your home is not already equipped with one. The City will coordinate the installation of the service tap. If you install a water heater or furnace, there is no tap fee.

Commercial Service Request
As our community continues to grow, so does natural gas availability. If you are a builder, developer or business owner, you can request natural gas using this form.
A Natural Gas Utility representative will contact you within 48 business hours of receiving your request.

Check the natural gas look up map to see if natural gas is available at a specific address. If you want to turn on, turn off or transfer utility services (including natural gas), click here.
- Do not use this form to report a suspected gas leak. If you smell gas - immediately leave the area and call the City of Tallahassee at 850-891-4968 from another location. Our staff is available 24 hours a day.
- Do not use this form to start natural gas service.
- Do not use this form to request a natural gas pilot lighting.
