Cash For Trash
Customers with an active garbage account receive a $5 credit on their utility bill for their bulky and household hazardous waste materials, like tires, that cannot be left at the curb. Cash for Trash takes place on the third Saturday of April and October from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the City’s Community Beautification and Waste Management facility located at 2727 Major James Morgan Jr. Way (just off West Pensacola Street near the Messer Field softball complex).
However, no household garbage, yard waste or construction/demolition debris can be accepted at these events. You may request a special residential pickup.
To receive the $5 credit, residential solid waste customers utilizing the program must present a City utility bill before unloading material. Customers can make multiple trips, however only one credit per utility bill will be provided. This allows customers disposing items for their neighbors to do so and assist them in reaping the benefits of the Cash for Trash program.
Cash for Trash is coordinated by the City’s Community Beautification and Waste Management department. For more information, please call 850-891-4968.
