TPD Annual Report Earns Statewide Honor

The Tallahassee Police Department (TPD) is proud to announce its 2024 Annual Report earned an Award of Distinction at the Florida Public Relations Association’s (FPRA) 2026 Golden Image Awards, a statewide competition recognizing excellence in public relations.

The honor represents a significant milestone for a publication TPD’s Public Information Office revived in 2023 following a department 15-year hiatus. Since its return, the Annual Report has grown into more than a recap of statistics and accomplishments. Each edition is designed to give the community a full and engaging look at the people, programs and partnerships behind TPD’s service to Tallahassee and its residents.

The 2024 Annual Report was recognized during the Golden Image Awards ceremony on Tuesday, Aug. 11, marking the first award for the publication since its return and the first time the Public Information Office’s work on the Annual Report has been recognized at the state level.

“An annual report gives us an opportunity to do more than share numbers. It allows us to show our community the people behind the badge, the work happening throughout this department and the progress we continue to make together,” said Chief Lawrence Revell. “To see that work recognized at the state level is an incredible honor, and with the release of our 2025 Annual Report, we are excited to invite the community to explore all available publications and learn more about the men and women who serve Tallahassee every day.”

The recognition comes as TPD recently released its 2025 Annual Report. The latest edition highlights milestones from across the agency, tells incredible stories, and highlights the many ways TPD worked alongside the community throughout the year.
